On April 29, 2017, in the City of Koronadal, South Cotabato, the Honorable city mayor Peter B. Being a motorcycle enthusiast himself, Mayor Peter Miguel, together with the Department of Tourism, spearheaded the  23rd Annual Peace and Unity Ride of the National Federation of Motorcycle Clubs of the Philippines  Inc.  Aside from claiming the world record, this aimed to magnify the beauty and Culture of Mindanao and bring tourism into the island. The motorcycle community responded strongly by sharing their experiences and exclaiming how beautiful the places really are in Mindanao.

The festivities continued long through the night in celebration of the event's success. It was one of the most memorable experiences I've had, no doubt my first here in Mindanao, and I will surely  re-visit and explore more of it's places, people and culture.

I thank Mayor Peter Miguel and everyone who made this incredible event possible and for giving us the opportunity to take part in their pursuit of history and celebration of motorcycle camaraderie.
